Song Choice.

Song Choice & Explanation.

The song choice we made was 'The Killers - Human' everyone in our class had to write down three songs which they liked mine was;

Passenger - Let Her Go
Demi Lovato - Skyscraper
Katy Perry - Roar

Once we had chosen these songs we then went on to anyalysing them so the 'Pros & Cons' of the song which would help us make the the music video good or what would be harder to do given the time, funding, and equipment etc.

Passenger - Let Her Go.

PROS;

• The lyrics are so true relating to love etc.
• The song as a very catchy tune to it.
• Its a slow pace song so it has a more of a feel to it.

CONS;

• Tricky for the lyrics 'snow'.

Demi Lovato - Skyscraper.

PROS;

• The lyrics are so true.
• Its has a very catchy rythem to it.
• Its a slow pace song so it has a nice feel to it.

CONS;

• Tricky to find a skyscraper locally.

Katy Perry - Roar.

PROS;

• Its a very catchy song with a medium pace.
• Its lyrics are so true to some people.
• Its the sort of song to listen to when you want to be motivated to achieve something.

CONS;

• It would be tricky to get real thunder.
• It would be tricky to get a real lion roar.

After we all had done this all the songs were placed out in the classroom and we had to look around and pick 5 of our favourites but we wasnt allowed to choose our own, after we had done them in order of preference sir got the two most popular songs and gave them us to do, ours was ' The killers - Human '

We then went on to researching all about the band etc, which the info is on my other posts, and we made storyboards, to plan out how we wanted it to be, we researched who the record label was with which was 'Island Labels' below is the email we sent to the record label for permissong to use the track.

Music video questionaire (Part 2).

With my questionaire what I previous did for my music video, i went on to sending it to a few of my fellow students for them to leave me there honest responses to my production, i did that by cop and pasting my previous blog post into a word document like it shows below.

I then was able to attach it to an email because otherwise it would mean emailing the link to the students and if they didnt have a blog account it would mean them creating one just to answer the questionaire when they dont require a blog account, so i thought it was an easier and quicker option for my fellow students to reply to because they have a lot of work to do so i wanted it to be quick and efficient for them. below you can see which students i have sent the email too, the attachment of the questionaire and also what i have written to them.

Magazine Drafts.

Below are two drafts that i did for my magazine advert. i did the first one using a variety of colours, i included ratings, titles, offers, record labels, the 'official' website etc etc, but i think with it been on the front of a magazine it looked a little too much it may look better as a advertisement poster.

 

i then went onto change my idea, i dwingled down how many things i included i still aded the necessary such as the title, website, record labels, barcode etc, but i also added the debut album name, hit singles and bonus tracks, etc. i changed the colour theme to go with the digi-pack and also the video it certain areas. i think it looked very smart when done i liked that idea because the band we was actually basing it upon 'The Killers - Human' they always dress very smart and sophisticated whilst performing.

DIGI-PACK.

For my digi-pack I thought when I used a black and white filter it looked rather attractive so I kept the them of my digi-pack black and white with a hint of red.

Below is how my digi-pack is going to be set out like;

For my front cover;

I chose this image cause it was like a secret opening to a secret life I like how we made the music video look. Are we Human or are we Dancers?

 

Inside Cover;

 

The image for my inside cover I wanted to use this image bacause its like as though your walking to were you need to be I also included a poem to do with the human species.
